Xbox And Adidas Unveil Xbox 360 Sneakers You Can Actually Buy
An exclusive sneaker celebrating the Xbox 20th Anniversary was created by Adidas and Xbox in October. The downside: the shoe wasn’t for sale and could only be won in a contest. The good news is that the companies have come up with a new console-inspired sneaker, which you can buy the traditional way.
The Xbox 360 Forum Mid is the name of the shoe. It draws inspiration from the Xbox 360. It is similar to the original Xbox 360 console’s white sneaker, but with accents of silver and lime green. Eagle-eyed fans will notice the strap resembles the 360’s disc tray. The heel has elements referencing the removable hard drive and memory unit slots. These easter eggs are largely subtle; the Xbox button on the sides of the shoe is the only dead giveaway you’re wearing a console on your feet. There are four more laces available for the sneaker: red, yellow and green. I’m sure you can guess the significance of those colors.
This limited edition Xbox 360 Forum Mid has been released. To snag a pair, you’ll need to visit adidas.com at 7 a.m. Pacific/10 a.m. Eastern on November 4 (tomorrow) and have $160.00 ready to spend. The shoe will only be sold in the U.S. and Canada.
How do you feel about the Xbox 360 Forum Mid. Are you going to be at work tomorrow trying to find a pair of shoes? Please comment!
