Before you’re ready to tame a world gone wild, it’s wise to take some time to understand both the often brutal prey you’ll be hunting as well as the ancient technology that will give you the edge against them when Wild HeartsLaunches February 17, 2023

This game takes place in Japan’s fantasy feudal Japan. It specifically takes place in Azuma. The land was beautiful and harmonious in its time, but it is dangerous today. Local maps divide the land into four distinct areas: Blossom Trail’s beautiful meadows and Spirit Isle’s beaches; Harvest Canyon’s high clouds over Harvest Canyon; Spirit Isle’s sandy beaches and Spirit Isle’s fierce winds.

They call the giant Kemono beasts, and they are now threatening Azuma’s people. Fueled by desperation, they wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive – and they use that power to shape the environment around them. The people cannot resist the calamity that follows them.

As the Kemono expand their territory in order to survive, the city of Minato – a small harbor village is slowly dying, being eroded by nature. These people will be able to help you make Azuma peaceful again.

When the Deathstalker wolf howls the people tremble in fear – but you only feel the thrill of the hunt to come. You have one gift: Karakuri, an ancient and powerful technology. Although this technology was once well-known and protected humanity, it is now almost lost. Karakuri is versatile and can be used to make weapons or tools. You can use this technology in many ways, starting with a flashlight to help you find your way or a celestial gun that gives you massive firepower to get your prey stunned. You can make use of this technology to locate your prey, create strong defenses against Kemono attacks and refashion hunting grounds in order to get the upper hand.

Of course, there’s more to the life of a hunter than stalking prey. You’ll need to gather resources to help build or upgrade your armor and weapons. Karakuri is a valuable, but sometimes difficult to find resource. You can make a simple paddle scoop from it to help you quickly capture them and then store them.

There’s much to explore in Azuma, whether you’re searching for resources or actively hunting, and the Karakuri can aid in making your travel a bit faster and easier. You can rely on the glider, roller, and flying vine to get you to your destination quickly. A flying vine, similar to a zipline, or glider, can help you gain the height you need to understand any area, catch up with your hunters or make a more effective angle to attack a Kemono.

Every hunter is aware of the importance of preparation. Karakuris can help you practice between hunts in order to increase your skill. To spar with and improve your skills using your existing weapons, build the training bear. There’s no such thing as being too prepared when it comes to hunting beasts as dangerous and powerful as the Kemono.
