Who The Heck Is That? Why The Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Mid-Credits Scene Matters
NOTEThis story may contain spoilers Doctor Strange, in the Multiverse of Madness.
Marvel Comics is a staple in my life, and I enjoy the Marvel Cinematic Universe post-credits scenes. Marvel’s ability to tease new characters and storylines is amazing. It gives the fans just enough information for them to feel excited, and to allow them to discuss what may be next in movies and television. Thanos’ reveal in The AvengersMy theater was bursting with comic-fans astonished at the possibility of an Infinity GauntletStory, with non-comic readers saying “Who was this purple guy?”
People are now chatting freely about the film’s tease of not as it ends. I have had many conversations to help them understand the characters or the importance of a certain item. This is a surprisingly enjoyable part of Marvel’s movie experience.
It was exactly the same after. Doctor Strange, the Multiverse of Madness and Doctor StrangeI aired a mid-credits scene in my theater. A lot of people asked their close friends and family who Charlize Thoron was. I, too, was somewhat baffled. My suspicions were confirmed, but Theron’s suit did not match the image I had in mind. She could be Clea, or a cosmic character who would fit into the Guardians of the Galaxy movie or Captain Marvel movie. She is now playing Clea. She may not be well-known, but her role as Sorcerer Supreme will make her a household name. Be prepared. Doctor Strange will probably die. I mean really, die. Version Earth-616.
We love Marvel Cinematic Universe’s heroes, but they have very short expiration dates. Iron Man is dead. Black Widow is dead. Captain America is dead. It won’t take long for Thor, Hulk and Doctor Strange to be gone.
This beloved hero doesn’t get old in comics. They can still return to their original, young form through story development. This isn’t true in the MCU. That’s what makes it so cool. The superhero world has made progress, but the comics have often reversed it in order to create new entrance points for their readers.
Clea is likely to be the “Strange” of the future. In a comic book series called Simply Titled, she currently holds the rank of “Strange” Strange. This project is off to an excellent start. It was the result of some equally outstanding people. Doctor Strange dies The story of his death. Clea has the power to use these powers, and he’ll probably be resurrected in about a year. You should strongly consider going to your comic store to grab the series’ two first issues. These are the only issues that were available at this time.

Now who are they? Here is the tricky part. Clea is an extradimensional energy being, and part of the Faltine races. Her family has strong ties to Dark Dimension and she is Umar’s daughter, making her Dormammu’s niece. Although she can assume a humanoid appearance, her abilities allow her to look more like a fire being. Check out the below:

Clea can use magic to bounce between dimensions and is skilled at using it. Clea is thought to be near immortal, and has increased strength. In human form she falls in love and marries Steven. That’s exactly where we find ourselves now. Although she is determined to find him, her luck with this endeavor has not been good.
Clea first appeared in comics with Marvel’s Comics 1964. Strange Tales #126. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko were the creators of #126. Although she has been around comics for decades, her role is now a pivotal figure in Marvel’s major continuity.

If I was to guess correctly, she would be the Sorcerer Superior in the MCU’s next four to five year. Their relationship will grow with the Doctor Strange movie. Then he will most likely die in the sequel, giving her both the title of Sorcerer Supreme and the power. There’s a chance they’ll both stick around for a while – which would be awesome – but as I pointed out, the heroes we love don’t stick around long. Marvel’s plans for Clea are evident by bringing in Theron, a talented actor.
Multiverse of MadnessMid-credit is kind of silly, with Doctor Strange jumping into another dimension without hesitation. However, the scene establishes a huge advantage for comic fans as it introduces another character to the MCU.
