Where to find Callisto Protocol’s best early-game weapon, the Skunk Gun

The Callisto Protocol, you’re constantly at a disadvantage against mutated horrors. While your trusty baton and pistol remain invaluable throughout the whole game, getting your hands on more weapons — like the basically-a-shotgun Skunk Gun — as soon as possible is key to fighting back.

Although most guns are located on the main pathway, others, such as the Skunk Gun may be overlooked. The schematic for this shotgun-like is found in a specific room that can be skipped entirely if you don’t know where to look, which would be a shame, as it’s really dang helpful. You can find the Skunk Gun schematic during the “Aftermath” chapter in The Callisto Protocol. In a particular section, you must Locate a way out from the basement, you’ll begin the path in the Basement D3 area.

The first door you stumble upon in Basement D3 requires a fuse, so you can’t access it just yet. Keep going until you reach Basement D4, which contains a number of enemies. Make sure you take good care of them, and then grab the fuse that’s on the ground. (It’s right next to a body.) To continue on the main path you will need to use the fuse located in the other side of the room. You can grab the Skunk Gun Schematic by going back to Basement D3 Storage. Don’t worry, there are no enemies inside.

You can grab the weapon schematic from the other room by climbing on to the venturi duct. You’ll then have to do some backtracking to return to the main path, but hey, it’s definitely worth the hassle. The next time you pass a reforge station go ahead and craft the Skunk Gun.

You will receive the following: Other shotgun later on, but for some reason, it’s not as effective as the Skunk Gun. The Skunk Gun is an asset, since you have a lot of ways to go before you can unlock the next weapon.
