Where is Destiny 2’s Xur and what is he selling, Dec. 16-20?

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• 29 Legendary Shards: Graviton Lance, Void Pulse Rifle
• Khepri’s Sting, Hunter arms: 23 Legendary Shards
• Armamentarium Titan chest 23 Legendary Shards
• Varity’s Brow, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Emgram: 97 Legendary Shards. You can also purchase another Exotic Cipher.
• Exotic Cipher quest: free

Season of the Risen The Witch Queen, Xur sells a random roll of both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale each week.

Here’s what he’s selling this weekend:

• Hawkmoon Kinetic hand cannon: Supplemental 125,000 Glimmer and 200 Legendary Shards. Exotic Cipher. Ascendant Shard.
• Dead Man’s Tale, Kinetic scout rifle (Subsistence): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard

As of Season of the Lost, Xur also sells a collection of old armor and weapons — similar to Banshee-44 and Ada-1. These items can be difficult to find, and are often from years past. The cost of each item (armor or weapon) is only 1,000 Glimmer, and the 50 Legendary Shards are included.

Xur’s Legendary inventory this week consists of the following:

• Whispering slab, Kinetic bow
• Survivor’s Epitaph, Kinetic hand cannon

Graviton Lance

Graviton Lance’s Exotic perk is Black HoleThis allows the gun to fire only two bullets, one with very low damage and one with very high damage. This is the second perk. CosmologyGraviton Lance is a poison that causes enemies to explode. It also spawns void missiles which seek out targets. It can also cause chain reactions of explosions that may be very powerful, depending on the situation.

Graviton Lance is one of my favorite places. Destiny 2’s best and worst Exotics at different points. Currently, it’s not great, but you never know when the scales will tip again — plus, it’s a super unique weapon, no matter how powerful it is. If you don’t have Graviton Lance, grab it from Xur this week.

Khepri’s Sting

Khepri’s Sting is a returning Exotic from the original Destiny, and houses a giant beetle on the Hunter’s left arm. The Exotic perk of this Exotic is Touch of Venom. Punching your enemy with melee energy immediately unleashes the smoke bomb. Smoke bombs deal increased damage and grant you Truesight while you’re inside.

This is an interesting Exotic with a neat effect, but it’s not particularly good at the moment. You can pick it up with the shards. We hope that it will get a buff within the next few seasons.

Armamentarium

It ArmamentariumIt is an easy chest piece. Exotic Perk: Yet another thing, which causes you to gain another grenade charge regardless of the subclass you’re using. This perk is great — or it would be if Striker Titans didn’t already have two grenades. Titans of other subclasses also have grenades that are less powerful and more Exotics, such as Mask of the Quiet One and Hallowfire Heart.

However, Armamentarium is still a great chest piece to grab if you don’t like those other Exotics or if you want to run the other Striker tree. You should get this chest piece if you love Titans or grenades.

Verity’s Brow

These are the best Verity’s BrowIt is a very average Warlock helmet. The Exotic perk of the Warlock helmet is quite impressive.Fourth MagicThis will cause your energy weapon to cease to generate grenade fuel for you and any of your close allies. This perk can be very helpful and is always appreciated. However, when compared to many of the other Warlock Exotics out there — Crown of Tempests, Geomag Stabilizers, Chromatic Fire, etc. — there is almost no situation where this helmet is worth using.

Exotic Cipher quest

Beginning in Beyond LightXur is now searching for the Exotic Cipher. You can buy Exotics at the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk located in Tower with the Exotic Cipher. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur asks you to win Crucible and Gambit matches or complete 21 Strikes. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
