What is Rogue Legacy 2’s FMF Fan trait?

Cellar Door Games released Rogue Legacy 2 from early access on Thursday, and fans have discovered an Easter egg for the developer’s other title, Full Metal FuriesIn the following list of possible traits,

Rogue Legacy 2Like the first run, each roguelite is started by selecting an heir. This heir comes with a class and spell as well as a list of traits. Some traits may seem silly like giving your character blue skin or making them look clownish. Some traits allow them to start with a Bonus Relic that can have powerful effects. But there are also challenge traits — such as making your character very big or very small, making you play the game upside-down, or blurring out enemies — that make the game harder but cause that heir to earn more gold.

However, the “FMF Fan” trait gives bonus gold and no downside. In fact, there’s no effect at all. The trait just says “You have good taste. You’re probably Korean,” (the assumption being that Full Metal Furies did well in that region, we’ve reached out to Cellar Door Games to confirm the meaning) and then gives you 25% bonus gold for that run.

It’s uncommon that Rogue Legacy 2 — which can be quite punishing in places — gives you something for nothing. Cellar Door Games decided to honor its legacy and give players a gold boost.

So if you come along the FMF Fan trait in your playthrough, don’t fear and enjoy the free gold. Keep an eye out for others. Full Metal Furies once you finish your run.
