Weekend Warrior – Welcome Back
After a long hiatus, Weekend Warrior is back and ready to ring in the best time of the week: the weekend! It’s the Game InformerThe staff are busy working on new great games such as Horizon Forbidden West 2, Dying Light 2 and Lost Ark. Here are some first-hand accounts from crew members to hear their plans for the holiday weekend.
Jill Grodt –This weekend looks great with amazing new game releases and beautiful weather. I’m planning to explore every inch of the Forbidden West, find new ways to take down big machines, and see if I can spot any familiar landmarks in a San Francisco reclaimed by nature. I also have to find some time this weekend to continue filling out my Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus because, despite its flaws, I love being able to go out and track down my favorite creatures in the wild. But I’d better hurry up because Elden Ring is just a week away!
Brian Shea –Today, Dying Light 2 is my next step in the journey. Although it’s still early in the game, I am having an amazing time. Horizon Forbidden West intrigues me, but it’s not what I want. I realized recently that I should just focus on one large, open-ended game at the time, or they will never be completed.
Andrew Reiner – This weekend, for the first time in 3 years, I am hanging out with my board gaming group. Unfathomable was already played, which I recommend to anyone who enjoys betrayal mechanics. We’ll see how much time we have, but the plan is to get a round in for all of these games: Captain Sonar, Forgotten Waters, El Dorado, Tyrants of the Underdark, The Captain is Dead, Nemesis, And Eldritch Horror. I’m also looking forward to reading Donny Cates’ latest issues of Hulk and Thor.
Alex Van Aken –Kayla, my wife, and I love reality TV. Like, badly. We are currently at halfway. Love IslandIt’s my favorite season so far, Season 6. Callum and Shaugna are a wild couple, Paige is adorable with Finley and Iain Stirling as the narrator is fantastic. You’re sure to enjoy this show if you are a big fan. The Bachelor, Love is BlindYou can even ask for it. The CircleLove Island (U.K.) is a must-see. Start with Season 4 then Season 6 and, if possible, watch the entire series – it’s a trashy TV show.
Kimberly Wallace –Finally, I will finally see the final of PeacemakerThis has been an amazing experience, and I’m so grateful for it. With Horizon Forbidden West complete, I will finally be heading into Dying Light2. Yes, I will read comics. This is my favorite new feature. She-Hulk Kate Bishop: Hawkeye series.
Wesley LeBlanc – It has begun. It is almost here. The release of From Software’s Elden Ring is just one week away. This weekend, I won’t play any games. I will not be watching TV. I won’t eat or drink. To become Tarnished, I will meditate on this mortal vessel known as Wesley. This is my destiny. It is my destiny. You can do it. It is possible. I am Become Elden Ring.
John Carson – We’re coming up on the end of the second month of the year, and I already feel like I’m playing catch up. The weekend is going to consist of exploring Lost Ark at its maximum level and taking part in some King of Fighters match play. Additionally, I will be exploring Magic: The Gathering’s Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty through Magic Arena. Or sitting down at a gaming shop to draft it. Let’s see how daring I can be. Neon Dynasty, a set I am obsessed with because of its fun and intricate designs inspires many creative play ideas. If I’m not gaming (or when I am), I will catch up with the most recent news. Always SunnySeason and possibly a few episodes PeacemakerGood measure.
