We Savor Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course and Want Seconds

I’m not very good at Cuphead.

For me, mastering this game exists on a plain that I’ll never reach, leaving my mouth agape as I watch players perfect its many intricacies. It has many wonderful aspects, including its stunning hand drawn animations and the stellar soundtrack. However, my time spent with this game has been limited by its difficulty.

Thanks to the new character Ms. Chalice who has her own unique set of skills such as dash-parries and double-jumping, I might have the edge that I need in order to give this classic a second chance.

This is not to suggest Ms. Chalice is some sort of “easy” mode when she arrives in Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course S, Windows PC, and Xbox One will all be released on June 30.|S, and Windows PC. The bosses, levels and challenges will remain difficult. They require great skill and hard work to defeat. But think back to all the times you perished in the original game; wouldn’t it have been great to double-jump over an obstacle, or have a slightly easier way to parry pink orbs to help build your super? For many, including me, that fine line might be just what we’ve been looking for.

If you’ve played the original game, you may already know Ms. Chalice as the Legendary Chalice whom you meet early in your adventures. As a playable character, you can access the full version of Ms. Chalice. Delicious Last Course, you can take her on a new set of adventures through an unexplored Inkwell Isle that’s full of new, challenging bosses as well as playing through all the locations from the original game.

In addition to her original move sets mentioned earlier, her character is also composed of entirely new hand drawn animations — no reskins of Cuphead of Mugman here. As MDHR put it during a recent preview event, “We still do things the hard way.” We’ll also be treated to some new musical tracks to accompany Last CourseThis makes this last adventure with the lovable group even more enjoyable.
