Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s first big update fixes the loot system
Warhammer 40,000: DarktideIt is an explosive co-op shooting game with intense, visceral combat. Many fans were disappointed by the lackluster environments and thrilling melee. While it is awesome to save Atoma Prime and kill heretics, the game’s in-between parts of hanging around on the Mourningstar while getting loot and chatting with other players was a bit frustrating. Patch 4: The Omnissiah’s blessings There are many small changes and fixes in this patch. It also addresses the loot problem and offers some crafting options.
Wargear Sets are available, which enable players to store five loads of cosmetics and weapons. The Armoury Exchange also now has a new tab, Brunt’s Armoury, which allows players to purchase any weapon available to them. This means you don’t have to wait for random chance, pleading that a chain-axe or bolter shows up in the Armoury Exchange listings. A low-level weapon can be purchased and easily upgraded to suit your needs.
Sir Melk’s Requistorium, the weekly quest contract hub, is now much more forgiving. Each contract requires less work but gives more currency. These contracts were the worst, as they required you to complete side objectives for specific mission loadouts.
You may have noticed from the patch title that the Shrine of the Omnissiah has experienced the most modifications. Blessings can be extracted from weapons to give players a powerful bonus that they can use to create something better. You can have blessings shared among all your characters.
As the cherry on top, the Emperor’s Gift — a random item reward — is now granted after every successful mission. Higher difficulty levels and additional map conditions will likely result in higher-quality items.
Fatshark stopped the development of new cosmetics items and porting to Xbox to address launch problems. Patch 4 makes a major step in the right direction. It addresses many player complaints as well as removing frustrating random elements.
