Valheim’s Mountains are more dangerous with the latest update

While they start in the relatively safe meadows, if they want to keep expanding their base and growing stronger, they’ll need to kill dangerous bosses and explore into new biomes. Iron Gate Studio released an updated Mountain biome on March 1. It adds frost caves and resources as well as enemies.
Frost caves act as instances of dungeons and are much like the Black Forest burial chambers or the Swamp sunken crypts. Frost Caves are home to three new enemies. However, players who brave these dangers can gain new resources as well as new materials for their weapons and armor. The Mountains are already full of angry wolves and frigid temperatures, and the new feral enemies won’t make things any easier.
ValheimAfter an explosive Early Access launch, where many players bought the Viking game in large numbers, it has been available for early access since January 2011. Most recent big-scale update to the game was Hearth & HomeThis expansion introduced a lot of new crafting and cooking techniques. Iron Gate’s focus has been on small updates since then. This includes a port of the Steam Deck. This large-scale update, which will address the misunderstood Mistlands biome in detail and give it an even more concrete place to explore, is scheduled for next year.
