Valheim coming to Game Pass for PC and Xbox

Viking survival game Valheim is coming to Xbox Game Pass, publisher Coffee Stain and developer Iron Gate announced Tuesday during Microsoft’s extended Xbox Games Showcase. ValheimPlayable on PC Game Pass (and the Microsoft Store) will begin in fall 2022. It will then be made available to Xbox One Series X and Xbox Series X through Game Pass beginning in spring 2023.

When they’re released, both versions will have full cross-play support at launch, “allowing Vikings to build, fight and survive together,” regardless of where they’re playing — Steam, Microsoft Store, or on console. Microsoft launched Valheim as a console launch exclusive, meaning it’s not coming to Sony’s PlayStation platforms, at least not yet.

ValheimIt is likely to receive its Mistlands update in the coming year. This includes a new biome that’s dense with trees. The game’s last update, Mountains, added frost caves and feral monsters.

Valheim In 2021, the game was released as an early access version on Windows PC. The increasingly popular game lets a group of players — up to 10 — explore the Viking world together. Iron Gate, the game’s developer said ValheimIn just over one year, the book has sold more than 10 million copies.
