Update: Rick From Rick And Morty Hits MultiVersus Today

Update, 9/27/22:

Rick Sanchez, a character from “Rick and Morty”, will become a playable fighter on MultiVersus’ free-to-play platform brawler. Morty Smith was also added to this month’s roster. Rick Sanchez joins him as a sidekick on the TV show. 

MultiVersus’ official Twitter account released this video, which shows Rick’s moves and classes. These are the key elements of his moveset.

• Fart Bomb!You can throw a fart bomb at enemies to hit them up.
• The Meeseek and the Destroy are two words: A Meeseeks can run forward, make uppercuts, or get ready to hit a golf course. 
• Basrick Portal Theory. Aims and summons up to two portals

Update, 8/12/22:

MultiVersus has announced that Season 1 of the popular stage fighter’s season will start next Monday, August 15, following a last-week delay. Morty Rick and MortyThe team will add a new player to the roster, namely Jeremy, who had been set to leave Season 1. He’ll join us on August 23rd. Additionally, they announced that Season 1 of the game will not be dropping on the same date. They cited that there will be new content throughout the season.

MultiVersus, the latest award winner for fighting-genre crossover brawlers, has just been announced. Fans love the playful art style and Super Smash-inspired gameplay. Morty is Morty’s next character and season as the rising champ.Rick & MortyThe release date for the finalized version (which was originally scheduled to be released in December) has been moved back. Uncertain when the final release date will be.  

MultiVersus Dev Team released tweets thanking players for their support. They also announced the unanticipated news as seen above. The complete statement can be found below.

MultiVersus is a great game. We are excited to see how many players enjoy the game. The Open Beta launch was just the beginning. We want to let everyone know that we are delaying the start of Season 1 & the release of Morty to a later date. This may be disappointing to some, but we want to assure the community that we will continue to deliver exciting and new content to delight players. The timing will be announced as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience & enthusiasm and look forward to unveiling Season 1 very soon!”

Season 1 was originally scheduled for launch on August 9th. At the moment, we’ll be busy kickin’ Lebron James’ butt. John Carson made MultiVersus available for review and stated that “I entered the alpha testing of MultiVersus without high expectations.” Apart from Smash Bros. the large brand mashup fighters feel empty and have underwhelming rosters. But I am impressed by what I’ve seen so far. Each character has its own gameplay and mechanics, which makes the cast great.
