The time has come to release the demo version of our highly anticipated game to the world—Bunny Battle Nemesis, a beat ’em up title that delivers intense action. But the story of this development goes back to the very origins of our studio, and I’d like to take you on a journey to discover how it all began. The game was created with a group of incredibly talented teammates. This article will go back to a seed planted more than ten years ago.
It’s a deeply personal journey that culminates in Bunny Battle NemesisDCF Universe. When I was a child of around 9 or 10 years, I enjoyed creating games, without realizing that I used a game engine. My passion for developing games was put aside as I aged.
The fates had other plans for me. A few years later, I discovered that it was possible to develop an indie-game from my PC. A switch was flipped in that moment and I began a journey as a developer. My goal? To create a console-based game.
It was time to get started. So, with that in mind I decided to make a video game named “Game of the Day” for my little niece. Yasmin. This was an experiment before launching a game for commercial purposes. Yasmin was the protagonist, a princess who used a magic wand against hordes bunnies. She was the one who came up with bunnies being NPCs. As you reached the end of each stage, a countdown message would appear in the HUD: “Bunny Battle…Fight!” And that’s how Bunny BattleIts name is

At that time, DCF Studios and the DCF Universe didn’t exist yet, but we’ll get to that. The game’s creation was exhilarating and I thought it would be a great project. So, I transformed the child-friendly concept into something edgier—an intense action game. Bunny Battle ArenaThe first DCF Studios game to explore themes and characters with no limitations.

The second project I worked on that helped propel DCF onto consoles was called Fighting Game. Cruz Brothers. Our iconic game was developed with our expanding team. Tony and ClydeThe game was eventually released. It was during this period that the conceptual DCF Universe was born—a shared universe that serves as the foundation for all our games. A comprehensive content guide was created, which outlined the various rules and gods of the current universe, as well as the different beings who inhabit it. DCF Universe (or DCFU) is the result of an extensive study which drew on various sources, from Sumerian Mythology to parapsychic research, and blended them with references taken from films, video games, pop culture, etc.

After eight years, we are still on the same journey. Bunny Battle ArenaThe memory of the game had faded. Glauco and I had always wanted to make it available on consoles. It was our belief that the intense gameplay, and fun experience it offered would be enjoyed by players as much as we were. Unfortunately, due to limitations in the game engine it wasn’t possible to port this to consoles. Aside from that, it had diverged significantly from DCF Universe. To seamlessly integrate the project into our shared world, we had to start over.

We did it! In order to create a lore rich in interconnectedness with other games, we embarked upon an expansive expansion. We also maintained a focus on dynamic and fun battles. Yasmin’s role transformed from a princess to a special ops soldier. Valentina, Amanda, Khalilah and Khalilah joined her. They were inspired by the famous green ninja team you might know. Together, they made a formidable DCF Universe team led by Hell Ella. These warriors, known as “The Maidens,” were blessed beings, bestowed with the immense powers of the goddess. The bunnies became friendly allies, like General Björka in the demo, belonging to the Leporidae species in the DCF Universe.
And we didn’t stop there. The direct links between the titles were carefully constructed. For those who journeyed through the thrilling adventures of Tony and Clyde until the very end, a familiar face from this demo will grace the final cutscene, adding an exciting layer to both the title’s story and the DCFU lore. There are also many other Easter Eggs scattered around the game, waiting for eagle eyed players to discover them.
The goal of the project was to capture that same spirit of creativity, joy, and fun which characterized DCF Studios in its early days. Now, we invite you to explore the full demo for Bunny Battle NemesisToday,.
