Unravel Park Story’s Spooky Tale Now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

Hello everyone! I’m Martin, the developer of the brand-new indie action RPG Park Story. I’m very excited (and a bit nervous!) I’m happy to announce that the game has been made available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also available on Windows.

Park Story Inspired by action RPG classics, this story tells the strange tale of Parker. Parker is trapped after his car crashes into the park one night. The couple realizes that everything they knew about their lives before the accident is over after they talk to Domino, a stray cat.

This sets Parker on his quest to find the way to a new life. But they aren’t alone. The demon raven Caim has taken control of the park and isn’t too welcoming to its new visitor. Caim, along with six generals, set out to keep Parker safe or aid the animals and ghosts that were left behind.

On the first day of work, I was Park Story It was almost five years ago. I’d gone down an internet rabbit hole looking up the scale of famous videogame worlds versus real places. After comparing some of the games to some country parks, which is a large park in Scotland that usually has a couple attractions for families like a museum or zoo, I came up with this idea. A Scottish Country Park is the setting for this action RPG. It features a large overworld. That’s Park Story.

Although it was originally supposed to take six months, videogame development turned out to be quite difficult. You never knew that!?

Over the past five years, I have created this tiny world for Parker to enjoy and also played with players. There are fifteen areas in the overworld, all with different themes and filled with secrets. You’ll uncover caves with ability upgrades and alternate paths around the park that lead to special battle challenges.

I like to say that each of the game’s dungeons is handcrafted. There’s nothing procedural in the game. Every dungeon’s theme is the focus of its puzzles. A dungeon wouldn’t be complete without a final boss though. That’s where Caim’s Generals come in. Parker has been destroyed by these six possible-humans. Each one brings their own challenges.

Storytelling is an important part of the story. Park Story. Parker has their own troubles, but the park’s animals will push them to overcome Caim, banish evil and return order. Caim too, has his own plan that extends beyond the park’s walls. Demons don’t take kindly to puny humans that try to interfere and Parker will find that out.

The push and pull of Parker’s old life, the park’s animals, and the danger of Caim, never stops. It’ll leave you with a big decision to make at the end of the game – if you survive!

Caim is not something Parker can overcome with his two-legged legs. Take on the forms of the Lairds — a squirrel, a fox, a duck and a pigeon. You can use their natural talents to crawl, dig and swim to get to your destination.

FIGHT THE DEMON RAVEN CAIM, AND HIS GENERALS
Caim hasn’t come alone. Within the dungeons, his generals can be found. The portal for Caim was opened by them as twisted, reincarnated versions of themselves. They’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that others suffer the consequences.
