Ubisoft Announces Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, Appoints New Series Producer

Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy’s The Division 3; Massive Entertainment is the Swedish developer behind Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and the two previous Division titles. In a tweet today, the studio linked to an article about The Division 3 and announced it. Ubisoft revealed that Julian Gerighty, the creative director of Star Wars Outlaws, will become The Division’s executive producers once Outlaws is released. 

Gerighty became an associate creative director for The Division in 2014. Gerighty became creative director of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 after Massive released the first Division title. Gerighty, as executive producer for the brand, will be working on The Division 3 along with other projects in The Division Universe, such as Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland and Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence. 

Ubisoft has said that The Division 2 is “well-supported” while Massive continues to work on The Division 3 

Gerighty wrote in Ubisoft’s blog that “The Division may be a franchise with over 40,000,000 players but it is still young.” There are so many stories, locations, and characters to discover. 

Tom Clancy’s The Division, with its cutting-edge graphics, amazing gameplay and the promise that players could not get this experience elsewhere, was a great example of that. And then we followed up with Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, which delivered on that promise. “It’s all about improving the game, pushing it forward.” 

Gerighty is still on Star Wars Outlaws, and will be until the launch of Star Wars Outlaws sometime in 2019.
