Turtles, Titans, and More at the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023
Earlier today, we shared a sneak peek into upcoming projects from some of the most talented developers we’ve had the pleasure to work with at THQ Nordic. We’re somehow on our third annual showcase, and we have the communities who play our games to thank for that.
We’ve always prided ourselves on variety, and today’s stream was no different. Whether you want to take down a rogue deity in a mythological epic, avenge your fallen brethren, or simply race and crash your way through custom racetracks with your friends, we’ve got a little something for everyone.
The Alone in Dark
Each great horror tale has human fragility at its heart. Pieces Interactive’s twisted vision for The Alone in DarkThis is the case with Detective Edward Carnby & Emily Hartwood, who are trapped in a swirling vortex eldritch madness.
David Harbour and Jodiecomer are the perfect actors to play these characters. Whether it’s Edward’s rough charm and dry wit, or Emily’s personal mission to save her uncle Jeremy and lift the Hartwood curse, both actors bring traits to their characters that will see you hitting the “New Game” button the moment you’ve completed a playthrough as one of them.

Those of you who caught our teaser at the end of last year’s showcase may have been wondering what we’ve been working on with South Park.
We’re happy to announce that we’ll be bringing the world of South Park to life in 2024, in full 3D with co-op action in the all new game, South Park Snow Day So grab up to three of your friends, and get ready to celebrate the most magical day in any young child’s life – a snow day!
Outcast – A New Beginning
As you jetpack across Adelpha, upgrading your skills, weapons, and mystic powers, you’ll encounter its people, the Talans, in need of help against an invading menace. You’ll destroy ammo convoys to weaken enemy bases, master village quests to strengthen the Talans’ resolve, and even nurture the local flora and fauna by clearing environmental threats.
Each action is felt across Adelpha, and you’ll see it visibly flourish around you as you accomplish more of your quest. You’ll find that village stocks are replenished with useful items. Lush vegetation will also sprout, and perhaps you will make some new critter friends.
Outcast – A New Beginning’s intuitive quest system and fast-paced third person combat have been designed to make it easy for new players to jump in, and we’re looking forward to seeing the stories you weave when the game releases on Xbox Series X|S. We have a feeling that fans of Cutter Slade’s original 1999adventure will be satisfied, as well…
The Wreckreation
In our online games we want players to have the freedom to choose what they like. The WreckreationThree Fields Entertainment, a team of veteran arcade racers has done exactly that.
You want to give your opponents a challenge? You can add obstacles on the spot, such as ramps or loops. Feeling a bit bored with your car? Access the menu, and you can slip into an edgy new vehicle mid-stunt. Do you want to make the best playlist possible for some high-octane madness? We’ve got you covered.

Tikamoon Plains is a welcome place!
Discover diverse landscapes from windy mountain ranges to deserts that are deadly and vast savannahs filled with wildlife. Join Malachi, an experienced hunting guide as he takes a small group of adventurous people through Tikamoon Plains. This world is inspired by African wilderness. Outfit yourself with firearms, bows, and other hunting gear to go hunting for trophies, and then decorate your hunting camp while you immerse yourself in unique wildlife’s daily life.
Tikamoon Plains offers a wide variety of biomes, whether you choose to explore it by UTV or car. The lush green vegetation of the Southeast, the riverside forest, the Savannahs, with their scattered trees and shrubs, and the mountains and deserts in the West are all different biomes.
Abundant Wildlife
Tikamoon Plains are a thriving place, with a variety of species, including Black Wildebeests (also known as Black Wildebeests), Common Warthogs (also called Common Warthogs), and Egyptian Geese. Cape Buffalos are also found in these Grasslands. However, they prefer the Savannahs where they hunt for food and seek shade.
The sight of Blue wildebeests (also known as Gemsboks), Spotted Hyenas, or Gemsboks roaming the open plains can be breathtaking. However, you must also take care, since the lion is the ruler of all the animals.
Animals like the Greater Kudu live in the Grasslands and Deserts, but if your travels take you to the Mountains, it’s more likely that you will find Honey Badgers.
You can hunt in deserts despite the fact that they are deadly and mysterious. This dry, arid environment is ideal for the agile and swift Gemsboks. Spotted hyenas have also adapted to this climate.
Hunter Experience: A New Way of Looking at It
Every hunting area in Way of the Hunter is unique. But Tikamoon Plains brings you a whole new African experience. This includes the Savannahs and Deserts. In addition, the bows were added to the game as a whole new category of weapons that require different approaches than guns. Use them carefully, Hunter.
