Tunic Release Date Reveal Kicks Off The Game Awards
Andrew Shouldice is a developer who has been working on Tunic since years, but has not given fans a clear release window. The Zelda-inspired game featuring a hero fox will be released in just a few short months. The Game Awards preshow usually only has smaller announcements. However, the news was made and it may have been the best part of The Game Awards.
Tunic will be released for Xbox consoles as well as PC on March 16. However, tonight’s trailer had even more secrets to reveal than just the date, including new locales, tools, and enemies. The vulpine sword-wielder sprints across a narrow bridge illuminated by neon pink light, in an area previously unknown. He soon uses a whip-like device that Tunic makes to cross long distances and keep distant enemies at bay. It looks as though we will need every help possible because we have new adversaries, such as terrifying and large spiders, ready to destroy the protagonist.
As part of Xbox’s gaming festival The Game Awards, you can grab a Tunic demo today if you don’t want to wait for the spring release. Xbox One owners will be able to get the preview free of charge by visiting the Xbox Store between now and December 21.
