TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Dimension Shellshock DLC Includes Playable Karai, Launches This Month

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge’s big DLC Dimension Shellshock finally has a release date, as well as another new playable character.

This expansion will arrive on August 31, for $7.99. In a brand new trailer, fans’ favorite character Karai joins the party. Karai, a member of the Foot Clan who made her TMNT debut in 1992 has also appeared in several animated adaptations. She’s usually depicted as Shredder’s second-in-command but has also been portrayed as his adopted daughter, depending on your choice of Turtles’ lore (most famously the 2003 animated series). Karai is often an uncomfortable ally for the Turtles, even though she has a strong allegiance with the Foot.

Dimension Shellshock features Usagi Yojimo as the new playable fighter, and will feature a new Survival Mode. Today’s trailer shows off some of the new filters, including a neat black-and-white comic-panel style presentation inspired by the original TMNT books. This DLC includes new music by composer Tee Lopes, as well as alternative color schemes and styles for each of the characters.
