Thirsty Suitors Gameplay Trailer Highlights Wacky Turn-Based Battles And Skateboarding

Thirsty Suitors launched the Annapurna Showcase featuring a brand new gameplay explanation explaining its unique battle system, and surprising exploration segments. 

The game, which premiered during last year’s Game Awards, centers on Jala, a young woman who must reconcile with her exes and friends while dealing with ( or, more specifically, disappointing ) her demanding parents before her sister’s wedding. It revolves around Jala’s turn-based battle with a former lover. This reimagines the two of them trying to find common ground in an RPG battle.

The trailer showed off moves such as Thirsty Taunts to manipulate an ex’s emotions. You can make your ex-fiancés’ inflated self-perceptions come true by allowing them to create alternate realities. Thankfully, you knock them down a peg by enlisting the help of family members as if they were Final Fantasy summons, such as a giant version of Jala’s mother dishing out significant damage. Not with Jala defeating her enemy, but rather with Jala and the adversary resolving their problems.

Thirst Suitors has a range of gameplay mechanics other than battles. These include skateboarding. Jala can skate, grind rails and perform stunts in order to increase her score. This is a unique addition, which harkens back to Tony Hawk and Jet Set Radio. The game also has other gameplay shifts. 

If you are still unsure about Thirsty Surgeons, a Steam demo will be available later today. It has not yet been released for PC, and it hasn’t been confirmed.
