Thirst traps of Astarion on TikTok convinced me to play Baldur’s Gate 3
In a life decision that I would call both “self-care” and “diving headfirst into a state of degeneracy,” I have decided to play Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3.
The title’s status as an industry landmark is not a big surprise. But I’m not playing the game just for its story-rich and complicated world, or thoughtfully crafted co-op elements. Oh, no, no, no. It’s because I have a silver-haired Elf. As I watched the thirst traps on TikTok, I felt compelled to join in. Baldur’s Gate 3’s sultry romance.
You can also find out more about the following: Baldur’s Gate 3, Players will meet many party members that can be romanced. Astarion, an elf Rogue who has a sharp smile and waves that are gently tousled is one of the choices. He usually uses tricks and deceit to overcome challenges. Astarion tricked you the first time you saw him in game by asking you for help, and then pulling a knife. He’s elusive, shady, and sometimes a flat-out liar, but he also has a softer side. Everyone on the Internet seems to be so fascinated by him, that platforms such as TikTok have clips aplenty.
[Ed. note: Some of these clips contain spoilers for scenes with Astarion.]
Astarion is a charmer in the world of the video game. In real life players are also smitten with this sometimes arrogant character. I started with seeing simple compilation videos showing off some of his more charming moments, like when he says, “Now just tell me I’m beautiful and we can call it a day.”
You can also find that if you enjoy one TikTok video it will bring a whole flood of videos. A sudden I was adrift. Subjected to relishing in the cat-and-mouse chase of Astarion’s romance. I especially appreciated this moment where the player character makes him beg and in response, Astarion calls them a “cheeky little pup.” Just the basic clip of him saying this has over 725,000 views on TikTok.
We don’t learn until later that Astarion is actually a vampire. All the blood-sucking scenes are now ready.
These are some other clips which convinced me to try the game.
The game is said to have 174 cutscenes. Judging by my feeds on social media, each and every one features Astarion. Astarion alone had over 56,000,000 views at the time this article was published. This stream continues, with many videos being added to my For You Page. A girl is forced to drink blood after a certain amount of time. Baldur’s Gate 3.
