Geralt of Rivia will be getting a new comic book that features some familiar characters. Polygon is able to exclusively announce that the series will feature the Witcher in a fairytale-inspired adventure. The Witcher: The Ballad of Two WolvesFour issues will be published, with the debut issue due out Dec. 21.
This Witcher story opens with Geralt summoned from the Witcher Tales to face a monster issue in a new city.
Geralt discovers rumors about a werewolf in Grimmwald. Geralt also learns that there are three Piglet sisters. It’s clear based on the multiple covers that The Witcher: The Ballad of Two Wolves will draw inspiration from the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs — although the story will likely twist what we know, as the Piglet sisters look far more gruesome than the helpless pigs typically depicted in the story.
