The Witcher season 2 trailer is filled with monsters

Netflix’s The WitcherThe trailer for season 2 features a new monster-filled trailer, just in time to celebrate Halloween. On Friday, the trailer showed just a few new characters (and possibly allies) that will face off in season 2.

In fact, there are enough monsters and fights in this trailer that if you’re already pretty sure you’re going to watch The WitcherSeason 2 may be something you want to skim. Seeing Geralt take on half-dozen new types of foes is exciting, but it might be better suited to the surprise of the show than this sizzle reel — which is literally set to the Jay-Z verse in Kanye West’s “Monster.”

There’s more than just monster-fighting in this new season 2 preview, though. We also get a glimpse at where Yennefer will be after season 1. It also shows us how Geralt is training Ciri back in Kaer Morhen. This trailer reminds you that Ciri may be more powerful than any one can imagine. The trailer even includes a reunion between Geralt and Jaskier, but there are no hints about whether or not the second season will include a banger like “Toss a Coin to your Witcher.”

The WitcherNetflix will release season 2 on December 17th.
