The Sims 4 is going free to play in October, EA announces

Sims 4It’s still one of the most popular life simulation games, thanks to a constant stream of expansion packs. It will soon be available to even more players. Maxis and Electronic Arts both announced this Wednesday. Sims 4’s base game will be free to play. The game will be available for download on Macs, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as well as Windows PCs, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

If you’ve already purchased the base game, you’ll receive a small bonus — players who have purchased Sims 4On Wednesday, October 17, the Desert Luxe Kit launches. It adds furniture to your in-game inventory based on the natural desert landscape.

EA is now available Sims 4Maxis released several expansions for the game in 2014. These include the change of seasons and the possibility to send Sims to university or high school, create supernatural Sims such as vampires or werewolves or just hanging out at a cottage. Maxis also provided free patches to the game. A July patch included more story options, including wants, fears and body hair.

Given Sims 4’s age, fans are wondering about whether the game is reaching the end of its natural lifespan, and if Sims 5 It is in the works.
