Believe it or not, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is off to a fantastic start. The highly anticipated sequel has already sold over 10,000,000 copies in its first 3 days.

That number makes Tears of the Kingdom the fastest-selling entry in franchise history. According to a press release, 4 million sales were made in Americas. This makes Tears of the Kingdom not only the best-selling Switch title in that territory but also the most popular Nintendo game overall. Tears of the Kingdom, the first Nintendo-developed first party title to sell for $70 is an even greater achievement. It shows that Switch fans will pay extra money for the latest tentpole game.
