The New Power

The Knight’s Power, Guardia CompagniaYou can now create Patrol Paths. They Travel with three AI-controlled Guards. In a unchanging, cyclical rotation of Guards being summoned each guard has a special ability. They will alert you to any survivors nearby once they are summoned.

You can instruct them to damage generators or destroy Pallets and Breakable Walls while creating a Patrol Path. After they complete their task, they will leave and you will get your Power back.

Be aware of your security

The knight can call on his three faithful Guards to help him, who all share his passion for hunting. Carnifex,The AssassinPlease see the following: The Jailer.Although the order in which they are summoned does not change, each has its own unique macabre specialty. It is essential that you are familiar with all of them in order to excel as The Knight.

CarnifexThe first is easily recognized by his massive stature, bizarre appearance and large cleaver. His specialties include quickly damaging Generators, breaking Pallets and creating Breakable Walls.

The AssassinThe second is recognizable by his bald head and leather armor. This man is a specialist in hunting and can run faster than most of his companions when he’s patrolling. Because of his speed, he is ideal to help you corral survivors into your path.

The Jailer The third Guard is recognizable by his jagged helmet and plate armor as well as his flail. The most meticulous Guard, he spends the longest time on patrol and searches hard for survivors in his path.

It’s entirely possible that a high-speed Trial will have you sending out guards frequently, so don’t stress too much if you lose track at any point. You’ll be able to see which one is next in the cycle by checking out the glowing symbol beside your weapon, as each Guard has a specific one. The Jailer’s is a set of keys, the Assassin’s is a blade, and The Carnifex’s is a skeletal helmet.

Make a difference as a commander

The Knight has been a powerful warrior for decades thanks to his martial skills. His skill with the sword is undisputed, but his ability to think strategically and plan his moves are equally impressive. In fact, it’s a skillset you should hone as well, as The Knight’s main ability centres around multi-tasking and prediction.

Remember, you are not alone – your Guards are It wasThey should work with you, and be placed accordingly. These can provide vital information, and possibly confirm suspicions. You can also use them to corral Survivors into favourable territory – a zone without any big loops or Pallets, for instance – by planning your routes accordingly. It’s far more effective to intercept Survivors being chased by a Guard, rather than running alongside them down the same path.

Sometimes, you will know a Survivor’s exact location. You can use your Guard to injure the Survivor quickly during these times. You need to put your Guard in a position where you can end the Patrol Path right in front or above the Survivor. Your Guard will spawn immediately and start following. If you succeed, your Guard will spawn and immediately begin chase. This tactic can also prove effective while in a chase, provided you can keep track of a Survivor’s audio cues.

Delegate

While it’s beneficial to use your Guards to chase Survivors, it’s important to efficiently manage your time in a Trial. Sometimes, survivors will drop Pallets early so that you can destroy it or continue your chase. Luckily, your Guards can render this strategy ineffective, as you can use them to break a Pallet while you are actively chasing a Survivor – though you will slow down for a moment.

You won’t be able to use your Guard immediately after, so consider assigning a break action if you feel confident enough to end the chase. You may damage a Generator, but a nearby Survivor will emerge from hiding and end the regression. You can also use your Guard to punish them for their stealthy behavior if you know they’ll do it.
