The Hunger Games prequel gets a first dark trailer

The first Hunger Games Prequel trailer will take you back to Panem. Songbids and Snakes, The Ballad.

Based on Suzanne Collins’ novel of the same name, the movie focuses on a younger version of President Snow, the dictator of Panem. But it’s not just a villain origin story — Songbirds and Snakes: A balladIt is more about Katniss’s forced participation in the great spectacle of games. The book dives into how propaganda and spin turned the Games from something that the Capitol citizens weren’t quite cool with into their favorite event of the year.

Tom BlythGilded Age( ) as the young President Snow. West Side Story’s Rachel Zelger as Lucy Gray Baird, the District 12 tribute that he becomes obsessed with. Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer plays Snow’s cousin Tigris and Viola Davis and Peter Dinklage play a few more Capitol citizens instrumental in the creation of the Hunger Games.

Even before the book was released in 2020, a deal for a film was already in place.
