The Free Outriders: New Horizon Update is Now Live

Today sees the official release of the New Horizon update Outriders!

New Horizon is an important and, more importantly, completely free content update. OutridersS on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and with Xbox Game Pass on Console and PC. Whether you’re a seasoned Outrider or you’ve been waiting to give the game a go, there truly has never been a better time to jump into OutridersNow is the time.

This is the first time you have come across this site. Outriders, here’s a very brief overview. Outriders is a brutal, third-person, RPG co-op shooter with gameplay focused on combat, which is equally balanced between gunplay and skill usage. In order to promote frequent skill use, the team intentionally reduced the cooldowns for skills.

Since OutridersLaunched earlier this year, we have been hard at work, solving issues and making changes to improve the experience for players. All this work has been leading up to this moment – the release of the New Horizon update. 

Today’s update adds new content to OutridersThe update includes four new Expedition maps, as well as an entirely new and fresh-out of-the-box Transmog. Players have long requested many of the changes in New Horizon. You now have more options, such as improved drop rates, and an in-game vendor dedicated to Legendary gear, which will be a huge boost to your class build. All classes, skills and mods received major buffs to give you more choices when selecting the best build that suits your style. 

We have also redesigned Expeditions, the final game content. The Expeditions rewards no longer depend on the time taken to finish them. This means that you don’t have to do things in a specific order to receive the most rewarding rewards. We have rebalanced Expeditions’ rewards system and removed timers so players don’t need to rush to finish an Expedition. Explore! And explore you certainly will want to, as the newly released Expedition maps include some rather interesting Easter eggs that you’d be remiss to miss…
