AL: Please give us a quick overview of your plot. Forget-Me-Not BloomingWhat is the best way to get started?
KMKirito awakens first from a disturbing dream in which Eugeo is killed during an attack on the Administrator. Kirito wakes up from a dream in which he loses Eugeo to the Administrator. He realizes that he must be a better swordsman to protect his friends. In search of the “other sword,” he sets off on an adventure with Eugeo to a new land where many new battles and drama awaits. Will Kirito be able to find another sword to be worthy of the name “Dual-Wielding” swordsman?
AL: This DLC is the first significant release of the game’s content since its launch. How much content are players able to expect?
KM This DLC will include a map of the same size as the main game. Players will have the opportunity to discover new places such as towns or dungeons in the new map. Play time for the entire game is approximately 12 hours, with an additional 16 hours available for players who wish to explore more of the newly added content. There are many new areas in the DLC. We hope you enjoy this game!
AL: That’s quite a big DLC! Did you encounter any difficulties when creating such a large DLC?
KMIt was the creation of the story scene that proved to be most challenging. We had many discussions with the scenario writers of this DLC and the people involved in the original work, and we went through a lot of trial and error to figure out how to deliver the story of Kirito and Eugeo’s journey to the fans in a way that could be told through game format.
AL: What tips do you have for players looking to get into the DLC game? Do you have any tips for players who want to play the DLC?
KMThe DLC has a few key differences from the main game. Some party members have been fixed. The characters that travel with Kirito and Eugeo will change in each chapter, and you may even have a chance to control characters that you haven’t played with in the main game yet. If a character which you haven’t (or barely) played before, joins your party, take this opportunity to try them out!
AL: This DLC’s name is Forget-Me-Not BloomingThis is a placeholder page for. What significance does this flower symbolism and its name have?
KM The name “Forget-me-not” is taken from a flower by the same name, and it includes meanings such as “true love” and, of course, “don’t forget me”. Kirito has been able to meet many people throughout the world, and has shared many of his feelings. He has grown from those encounters to the heroic hero that he is today. This flower represents the value of these encounters and emotions, and reminds us to not forget them. Playing the scenario will help you discover the meaning behind the title.
AL: Last, which of these DLC are you excited to share with fans?
KMWe want fans to be able to appreciate the story. This DLC takes place in an alternate world in which Eugeo is still alive. It’s the same story as in the main game. The DLC shows a completely new view of the story between Kirito, Alice and Eugeo. This is not the same as the manga or the original novel. We hope fans of the series will enjoy the rich story that we’ve created!
