The Devil in Me Release Date Has Been Revealed

S and Xbox One.|S.

Me and the DevilThe story is about a team of filmmakers who make a documentary about American serial murderers. They’re lured to a remote island hotel and trapped by someone who is inspired by the original American serial killer, HH Holmes.

We listen to our fans and incorporate new features and refinements to every Dark Pictures game. We are pleased to offer you the following: Me and the Devil, we’re presenting a suite of new exploration actions which enhance and enrich the experience of exploring the creepy hotel setting that the team here at Supermassive Games have created.

It will allow you to scale walls, vault over obstacles and jump through holes in collapsing floors. You can also shimmy on narrow ledges and balance between fallen trees and beams. You’ll be able to crouch through broken walls and crawl under broken machinery, and when danger is present, you’ll be able to hide. You can also run or walk with characters, so that you can go at your own pace.

It’s an intuitive system that gamers will be familiar with and fits nicely with our existing Dark Pictures gameplay. The detailed world is now easier to discover. Me and the Devil more immersive and interesting as you’ll hunt for concealed routes and hidden areas where you can find the secrets or tools that will increase your chances of survival. Another new feature is tools. A simple inventory that characters can use to hold any tools or other objects found in the game will be available.

Every one of the five characters is equipped with a specific tool that suits their roles in the crew. Mark, for example, is the director and photographer. He has a camera to record evidence of crimes. Erin, an audio technie, uses a directional microphone to hear conversations behind walls, and to pick up sound that would be missed by the rest of her team. There’s a great tradition in horror of the use of unusual viewpoints and technology to disconcert viewers and amplify the terror. And we think the sequence of Erin using her microphone to track a series of escalating horrific noises down the winding corridors of the hotel is one of the scariest we’ve ever created.

Finally, we’ve introduced some light puzzle mechanics into Me and the Devil. The hotel is full of traps, moving walls, and mysterious rooms, so it’s a perfect fit for gameplay that has you scratching your head. You can think of all the puzzles that you may have seen in Silent Hill or Resident Evil. You’ll be looking for secret codes, moving things around to find new routes, working your way out of escape rooms, and rewiring antique fuse boxes. These puzzles are perfectly suited to the oppressive, crumbling environment of the Island Hotel. It doesn’t matter if you solve them. Depending on how you solve the problem, characters can either live or die.

The new features add up to an exciting bundle that enhances the Dark Pictures Anthology gameplay and gives players more control over how they deal with the dark killer. But Me and the DevilStill delivers the essential elements our audiences love, such as cinematic terror, unsolvable dilemmas and terrifying scares.
