The Cycle: Frontier gets June release date on Steam, Epic Games Store

Frontier of the CycleAfter nearly three years of PC early access testing, the June release date was confirmed. Yager, the developer confirmed Wednesday that June 22 would be released. Frontier of the CycleA pre-season launch will take place on June 8, with the release of the product.

Frontier of the CycleIt will be made available via the Epic Games Store or Steam. This is the place where the game is most desired free-to-play.

Frontier of the Cycle is described by its creators as a “PvPvE extraction shooter.” Players venture to the alien planet Fortuna 3 as prospectors, where they can loot treasure and resources, but also face threats like deadly indigenous creatures, radioactive storms (the titular Cycle), and other players who are also on the hunt for loot.

Yager mentioned in an update for Steam that Frontier of the Cycle’s June 22 launch will see the return of the game’s Fortuna Pass, a series of challenges that offers commensurate rewards, and “a brand new PvE dungeon full of loot and nasty creatures.” Frontier of the CycleIt has been pre-released with several playable betas since August 2019.

Frontier of the CycleOriginally, it was simply called The Cycle. Alongside Yager’s launch of a closed beta test in September 2021, the studio re-announced the project under its current name, Frontier of the Cycle.
