The best games to play in the background

Are you a podcast listener, binge-tv viewer, or a videogamer who watches video game streams and plays video games while listening to podcasts? It’s not unusual to spend hours consuming multiple media sources simultaneously. It’s certainly easier now than it’s ever been!

Switch can be used to play while we watch TV, and you can also add a second screen to our computer setup. Everybody has one of these smartphones that allows them to watch streams and play games simultaneously.

Also, we have more content than ever: podcasts, live streaming, YouTubers, TikTok experts, and influencers posting every day. Streaming platforms have a growing number of binge-able shows that can be watched while semi-paying attention. These more ubiquitous “second screens” and more content to engage with are certainly culprits for the increase in media multitasking, but what about the games themselves? What is it about games today that causes us to not pay enough attention to them?

That’s the question I tried to answer in my video about video game multitasking. By interviewing colleagues, going through forum polls and starting a Twitter conversation, I was able to discover which games people play while simultaneously doing other things. There were people I could find who enjoyed the games. NeverMultitasking is possible while you play games and interact with others. can’tIt is possible to play a game and have another thing on the screen at once. In my research, I discovered interesting trends in multitasking and classified the top multitasking games. You can see my personal recommendations in the video.
