The best action show on TV is back with a hot trailer

There’s no better action TV running today than Warrior. This martial arts drama, set in San Francisco in the late nineteenth century, follows the rivalry between gangs as well as the changes in the landscape through the eyes Ah Sahm’s (Andrew Koji), an experienced martial artist from China who came to this area in search of her sister. Many things have changed, but this show remains a classic.

Warrior premiered on Cinemax in 2019, and when Cinemax announced in 2020 they would no longer be producing their own programming, the show’s future was in up in the air. Max took it up, and the show was picked up for the third season.

Thank god, too, as the action is always the best on television. Koji Taslim is one of the most charismatic screen fighters in their generation. They are not only great at martial arts, but they also bring a ton of energy and enthusiasm. When they fight, the pair is always a match made in heaven. Warrior, it’s a can’t-miss event, and the show brings plenty of other talented fighters into the fray as well, with coordinator Brett Chan delivering gorgeous choreography (earning a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2021 for outstanding stunt coordination).

This trailer gives a glimpse of the new season, which promises new fights as well as new alliances. Warrior fun television. Joe Taslim, the sweaty Joe Taslim. Swaggerful Andrew Koji!
