The Analogue 3D Plays Nintendo 64 Games At 4K Resolution, Releasing Next Year

The Analogue Pocket is a retro handheld marvel, capable of playing your favorite Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games on its beautiful screen with modern sensibilities and technology – simply put, it’s the best way to play a Game Boy game, assuming you can get your hands on the always-sold-out device. Analogue’s next product, the Analogue 3D, will target the Nintendo 64 catalogue.

The full image is not visible, but Analogue shared a picture of the device. It’s at the top, and it is also below:

The image, released along with the news of today, teases what seems to be a faithful, sleek and black recreation of the Nintendo 64 control. Below you can see it:

Analogue’s statement says that its 3D device features 4K HDMI output as well as Analogue OS and wireless Bluetooth. It also has 2.4G WI-FI. There will be “4 original style controller ports” to allow players to use the original Nintendo 64 Controllers. According to the company, the 4K output of the 3D allowed it “to create incomprehensibly deep Original Display Modes” and in collaboration with 8BitDo will release a new wireless controller.

Preorders are not yet open, but if it’s like the Pocket release, preorders will happen well before the actual release. If it is like the Pocket, then preorders should be open well in advance of the actual release.
