Microsoft Flight SimulatorAlenia Aermacchi M-346 Master was introduced to the in-simulator marketplace. It is a twin-engine military transonic trainer that flew its first flight in 2004. Yakovlev initially co-developed it as the Yak/AEM-130. In 2000 the partnership was disbanded and Alenia Aermacchi began to develop the M-346 Master. It has a tandem cockpit and is being operated currently by the Air Forces of Italy, Israel and Singapore.
M-346 Master features detailed exterior and virtual cockpit models. It also includes high-resolution textures and PBR effects. Many high-detail textures are provided for the Italian Air Force (Polish Air Force), the Singapore Air Force (Israeli Air Force), IFTS and T-100 programs. The realistic HUD and MFD interfaces for aircraft, as well as detailed procedures that were based on real-world flight instructions will be enjoyed by users. It has distinctive features such as a large canopy with a bulbous canopy and an angled vertical stabilizer. Two Honeywell turbofan engines, totaling 12,600 pounds, power the Master. This engine has a speed of 780 mph (just above Mach 1) and can climb at 22,000 feet per second. The Master also boasts an impressive range of 1,200 mi. A modern digital flight control system is also featured in this aircraft, similar to the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor or Eurofighter Typhoon.

The Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year (GOTY) Standard Edition celebrates all the positive feedback, reviews and awards garnered, but it is also a “Thank You” to our fans – new and old – that have made Microsoft Flight Simulator such a phenomenon. • Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet: Our first military jet and a highly requested feature from the community. While the Top Gun Maverick film will come out next spring, we wanted to give simmers the chance to try their speed skills this holiday.
• VoloCity: We partnered with well-known German company Volocopter, which is working on an eVTOL called “VoloCity”, a vision for an urban air taxi. To create an accurate replica of the aircraft prototype for the simulator, we worked closely with Volocopter’s engineering team. This aircraft is the first to be capable of precise landings. It is also a preview of what we will launch in the simulator in 2022.
• Pilatus PC-6 Porter: This legendary short takeoff and landing (STOL) utility aircraft is a highly versatile plane from Switzerland and comes with several cockpits, cabins, and landing gear variations. This aircraft is the product of close cooperation with the manufacturer. The development effort by Hans Hartmann (developer) and Alexander Metzger (developer) resulted into a unique and enjoyable new aircraft that has exceptional capabilities in the simulator.
• CubCrafters NX Cub: Yakima-based CubCrafters recently introduced a nosewheel option for their flagship CC-19 XCub Aircraft, popularly called the NX Cub, which we are pleased to introduce to the flight sim audience to further enhance our bush flying and off airport options.
• Aviat Pitts Special S1S: One of our most popular planes gets a single-seat option with the release of this aircraft.

New Missions: Based on the popular Discovery Flights series, six more locations have been added to this series.
New Tutorials – To further expand the onboarding experience, we are adding 14 new tutorials, introducing simmers to Bush flying (in an Icon A5) and IFR (in a Cessna 172).
New Features – We are also pleased to introduce several highly requested features by the community: an updated weather system, early access to DX12, and a dev mode replay system.
New Photogrammetry Cities – As part of our ongoing collaboration with Bing Maps, we are pleased to add a number of new photogrammetry cities: Helsinki (Finland), Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany), Brighton, Derby, Eastbourne, Newcastle, and Nottingham (UK) and Utrecht (Netherlands).
