The Abyss Queen Emerges in the Paladins Season 6 Update

Since his arrival in the Realm, Azaan has been preparing for a looming threat – a foe whose advent could tear the world asunder. But just before Azaan is able to enact his last ditch efforts, she has arrived…and the Realm will never be the same. Give welcome to your new matriarch – Nyx, Queen of the Abyss, has emerged from the darkest corners of the Abyss into the Realm.

Nyx, the new Frontline Champion is rising above the rest. Paladins The roster now has 58 characters. Queen of Change is her passive ability. It grants Nyx a healing bonus when she’s near an objective. This encourages players to be close to the action at all costs. Nyx doesn’t have a traditional weapon and instead deals with foes using her fists. Nyx’s primary fire is a chain of five melee strikes that she has mastered. Rift Slash her alternate fire splits the reality into an area and does damage while slowing down enemies who are caught.

What queen would she be without the ability to punish anyone who dares to challenge her authority? Nyx’s first ability summons a wide shield in a target location and her second ability deploys a poison aura around herself that deals persistent damage to enemies caught within it. Nyx’s ultimate is Chaos Nexus – she unleashes three powerful attacks around her that pulls and stuns enemies, forcing them to grovel at her feet.

Even Champions of The Realm can be tempted by the Abyss. The patch includes a brand new Into The Abyss event pass with more than 20 chaotic levels of rewards including the Abyss corrupted Doom Bringer Seris, and Wings of Darkness Saati.

This sixth season launches with a fan favorite returning mode: Payload. This mode was originally released in the Paladins’ beta, Payload features large new locales as one team attempts to push a cart to the enemy base while the opposing team tries to stop them before time is up. The mode is available Monday to Friday, so that players can enjoy an important part of the game. Paladins’ history!
