Terraria and Don’t Starve are doing a Halloween crossover

Survival sims Don’t StarveAnd Terraria There have been spooky themes in their history. The first game features a character who can summon her sister’s ghost. Both games will be collaborating for Halloween. The crossover appears to take the shape of one monster making an appearance in each game’s indie.

It TerrariaTeam announced the crossover on TwitterShare a clip Don’t Starve’s Wilson encountering the Eye of Cthulhu, a boss from TerrariaIt is a beautiful scene. Wilson seems to have been haunted and frightened by the appearance. Klei Entertainment was the studio behind this. Don’t StarveThe Deerclops made its debut in pixelated form, and he responded with the same clip.

It will be interesting to see how these enemies are actually incorporated into gameplay, or whether they’re just fun little Easter eggs. Each of these are pretty iconic monsters — ones that have become symbolic of early challenges that players will face in these tough survival sims.

The Eye of Cthulhu can be found here Terraria’s first boss, and a true test of player mettle. Any other Don’t Starve player knows just how frustrating it can be to encounter the Deerclops — it shows up in winter, and it can destroy large parts of a player’s painstakingly designed encampment in just a few stomps.

The crossover is just one of many fun announcements made recently by Terraria Developer Re-Logic. It comes on the heels of a Re-Logic developer posting to the game’s Steam page to note that TerrariaDestructoid reported that the Steam deck is being optimised at present.
