Tekken 8 Closed Network Test dates announced for PS5, Xbox, PC

Tekken 8Bandai Namco, which calls its Closed network tests “Closed test”, announced that they will make the games available for public play next month.

Registration is now open for Xbox Series X, Windows PC and PlayStation 5. Testing begins on the 21st of July. Closed Network Tests take place in two separate weekends.

Closed Network Test participants can be selected by random draw from anywhere in North America or South America. While you’ll need an internet connection to play, you won’t need an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription.

When will the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test be starting?

Week One:PS5 is the only one that can be used

  • August 24 at 3 a.m.

The second week of the year:PS5, Xbox Series X and PC (via Steam).

  • August 28th @ 1am – August 31st @ 3am

The Closed Network Test is down from July 21 between 4 and 7 p.m., and July 29, 4 to 7 a.m.


What’s in the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test?

Closed Network Test allows players to play in ranked cross-platform matches (including newly announced Claudio), using up to 16 characters across 5 arenas. A FAQ is available on the Tekken 8 website.

Although it might be tempting to think of this network test as a “closed beta,” Bandai Namco has yet to reveal a release window for Tekken 8This suggests it could be some time before the launch of the game.
