Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Announced, Features 13 Games

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – The Cowabunga Collection was announced. It combines 13 TMNT games in one collection. 

Revealed during today’s PlayStation State of Play, this collection features remastered versions of classic TMNT games like Tournament Fighters, Turtles In Time, TMNT: The Arcade Game, and more. Multiplayer co-op is available in several of the games. Some also have online multiplayer. As indicated by the message at bottom of trailer, PlayStation Plus must be purchased to play online multiplayer. 

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is a collection of 13 previously released video games from the Arcade, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super NES, Sega Genesis, and the Nintendo Gameboy,” the description for the trailer reads. “Immensely popular and very influential games, this collection provides a unique opportunity for gamers to experience these titles with a fantastic set of new quality of life features.” 

These features include:

• Additional online play is available for certain games
• Rewind and save at any time
• Boss Rush, Challenge Mode and other new modes of gameplay
• Eleven Japanese regional titles – release versions
• Buttons mapping
• HD texture update
• Sketches and unique development
• Historical TMNT content

Although the Cowabunga Collection has yet to be released, the trailer states that it will soon be available for PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4. It does not include any mention of other platforms or consoles in the trailer.
