Tchia Preview – Exploring Tchia’s Real-Life Inspiration

Issue 351 includes Street Fighter 6 coverage in Game Informer’s latest issue. It also features a deeper dive into Tchia and an unusual trip, where we learn more about this game.  

Awaceb is the development studio that created Tchia. Awaceb’s founders grew up in a small French territory east of Australia called New Caledonia, and this debut game from the studio is inspired by their childhood there. To learn more about New Caledonia’s culture, geography, and people, I went to New Caledonia with the Awaceb team in September.  

The new issue contains more information about the trip as well as the game.

Tchia will release on PS5 PS4 and PC early in 2023.
