Residents Evil: Welcome to Raccoon CityNext week, November 24, it will hit theaters. This is one of the most interesting and original videogame movies. It’s not narratively or stylistically. But it is in its role. Raccoon city is your homeIt is a completely new vision of Resident Evil for the big screen. This film follows Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil movie series, which ran six films, earned more than one billion dollars at the box office. 

Anderson took Resident Evil’s source material and created his science fiction universe. Raccoon city is your home – directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters downThe Strangers: Night Prey) – sticks far closer to the first two games in the series. The result is a more grounded story that features characters familiar to fans for decades. 

We spoke to two stars of Resident Evil, Tom Hopper & Avan Jogia about their experiences as co-directors of this series and their favorites moments during filming. We also discussed where and how their characters were inspired.
