Take a first look at Magic: The Gathering’s Secret Lair Transformers cards

Latest official set The Gathering is Magic cards, The Brothers’ War, includes a series of cards featuring Transformers, Hasbro’s legacy property involving shape-changing robots. The company will also be revamping some other highly-coveted cards and revising the art for a series Transformers-themed Secret Lair Drops. Polygon gets an exclusive look at the new cards. The sale begins Dec. 5th at 9 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Secret Lair offers select benefits. Magic cards new art, and it’s featured plenty of different series since the program was announced in 2019. The cards are sold via one-time deals — you buy them now, or face the secondhand market later on. There’s no limit on how many cards you can buy, but they’re only available for a certain amount of time. This set of Transformers cards is part the Universes Beyond series. It includes cards that feature Warhammer 40,000 artwork. FortniteAnd even an upcoming Dr.Set with themes

There are three Transformers Secret Lair sets in all — Transformers: Optimus Prime vs. Megatron, Transformers: Are You Ready to Roll Out?And Transformers: Only One Will Stand and One Will Fall. Optimus Prime vs. MegatronThree cards featuring new artwork: Blightsteel Collossus, Doubling Cube and Darksteel Collossus. These cards come in sets for $29.99 for unfoiled and $39.99 each for foil.
