System Shock Remake Gets March 2023 Release Window

System Shock, the long-awaited remake will be finally released in March. 

This news comes by way of a new Kickstarter update from developer Nightdive Studios, which states the team has picked “a few last things to share before our quickly approaching launch window of March 2023.” According to Video Games Chronicle. This new remake will hit PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The original 2023 release year was attached for a moment, however, the Kickstarter update now points to Steam’s Steam page. It now has a “March 2023” release window. 

“As some of you have already pointed out, this is not our first time announcing a tentative launch window, but over the past few years, much has changed – the scope and scale of the project has evolved dramatically and with [publisher] Prime Matter joining the project, it’s enabled us to focus on quality-of-life improvements, bug fixing, and localization support – the last major steps towards releasing a game we’re all incredibly proud of,” the update reads. We have also had the opportunity to go back over and improve various parts of our game.

System Shock’s last appearance was last June in a trailer. However, it has been seen again. Game Informer A long list of new video game remakes has been available. This March 2023 release window announcement is fantastic news, particularly for those who have been following the journey of the game throughout its development. We hope that this release window will be a success.
