Studio Ghibli to team up with Lucasfilm for possible Star Wars project

It is safe to say that the teaser appears to be for an animated film based on Lucasfilm properties. Star Wars looks like a good choice. Lucasfilm and Disney both have several Star Wars animated series including the just released Tales of the Jedi and — the most likely candidate for Studio Ghibli — Star Wars: Visions. The animated anthology series was created by Hiroyuki Imaishi and featured animations from Kamikaze Douga (Trigger), Production I.G. and other anime studios.Promare), Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), Eunyoung Choi (KaibaPing Pong AnimationMasahiko Ottsuka (FLCL, Gurren LagannThey are allowed to create their Star Wars stories as they please.

Season 2 of Star Wars: VisionsDisney Plus will be launching in spring 2023. Disney and Lucasfilm did not reveal much more about it. Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 is pitched as a “global tour, celebrating the incredible animation happening across countries and cultures.”
