Stephen Colbert joins Critical Role for Red Nose Day charity stream tonight
The Critical Role is being joined by The Late ShowStephen Colbert hosts tonight’s show for the second consecutive time, as part of a Red Nose Day charity stream.
The adventure will premiere live on Critical Role’s YouTube and Twitch channels at 10 p.m. EDT. You can also watch it on YouTube on Friday at noon EDT.
Matthew Mercer will be the Game Master and guide Colbert, Ashley Johnson, MarishaRay, and Sam Riegel through this campaign. Johnson, Ray, Riegel, and Beau will all be reprising the roles of their Mighty Nein characters Yashaa, Beau, or Nott at level 5.
Colbert’s character’s fate has to some extent already been decided by fans making donation-based votes. He will have a bee that travels with him; the bee will be called Eric the 2nd, and be following in his father’s footsteps. No matter his level or class, he will be able cast Polymorph once throughout the adventure. He must recover his dignity, which has been somehow taken from him. His journey will be started with a weapon of the living that hates violence.
Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising event that aims to end child poverty and ensure a future where all children can thrive. The Critical Role Foundation has collected $790K since 2019 for Red Nose Day, which includes its collaboration with Colbert in 2019. Even before Colbert’s adventure, $115K has been raised for the 2022 campaign.
