Station Eleven teaser offers a first look at the post-apocalyptic series

HBO Max has released Tuesday’s first trailer and images for its post-apocalyptic series. Station Eleven

Adapted from Emily St. John Mandel’s 2014 novel of the same name, Station ElevenThis documentary tells the story of several survivors, who in the aftermath of a pandemic worldwide, seek a way to rebuild and reimagine what is lost.

Teaser: Jeevan (Patel), and Kirsten(Matilda Lawler), are seen at the supermarket checkout in the middle of the night, during the first days of the pandemic. When asked by the cashier if the reason why they are buying so much food is because of “that thing” and if he should go somewhere, Jeevan calmly tells the man to go home before proceeding to push a row of carts through a snowy parking lot. This trailer shows alternating shots from before and after pandemics. There are scenes of panicked patients in hospitals, burned Ferris wheels and a caravan with horse-drawn campers traveling along the riverside roads. A dark figure with an unidentified skull, dressed in a gown and holding a torch, is seen driving through the parking lot.

Station ElevenThe series was first announced in the summer of 2019 and was ordered again in the spring. To say the show is now being released in an entirely different universe than it was imagined would be an understatement. The series, much like Netflix’s Sweet Tooth or Hulu’s Y: The Last ManThe post-apocalyptic thriller “, which is yet another drama about a global pandemic in the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak has taken on a strange new resonance. Filming began on the series in Chicago, Illinois in January 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced production to move to Mississauga in Ontario. Production was completed in July last year.
