Starship Troopers: Extermination Is A 12-Player Co-Op FPS Coming Next Year

Offworld Industries is the studio behind Squad and has announced Starship Troopers Extermination as a 12-player cooperative FPS that will go live on Steam Early Access starting next year. 

Offworld will be releasing Extermination together with Sony Pictures Consumer Products. In the game, players will participate in FPS squad combat in order to eliminate the arachnid menace. Fans of 1997’s film will remember this well. These squads must work together to achieve objectives and acquire the resources needed to fight the battle, create and defend a base, and finally, escape from the single extraction point.

A press release announcing the news reads: “Starship Troopers Extermination put players on the far off front lines in an aggressive assault against Arachnid menace.” As a Trooper with the Deep Space Vanguard (elite Special Forces organization within Mobile Infantry), you can team up. And get ready to stomp some Bug because no Trooper will ever stand alone as they line up sholder-to-shoulder with their fellow Vanguards – trusty Morita Assault Rifles in hand – to battle against hordes of bloodthirsty insectoid aliens on the hostile surface of the planet Valaka.”
