Starfield Has Gone Gold – Game Informer

Starfield is a staggeringly ambitious game, but it appears to be ready to go a few weeks from its September 6 launch. Bethesda recently announced that their sci-fi RPG is now gold.

“Going gold” essentially means the game is complete and ready to be sent to be printed on discs and shipped to stores. Bethesda has also announced when digital versions of the game can be preloaded. Xbox gamers can start preloading the digital version tomorrow, on August 17. Steam users can do so on August 30.

Starfield’s ambition is huge. The game will have players embark on an epic journey that will lead them through thousands of planets and a vast cosmic sandbox.
