Star Trek: Discovery’s final season gets started at San Diego Comic-Con

Star Trek: The Next Generation is a bold new show that goes but Star Trek: DiscoveryThe Paramount Plus explosion brought new Star Trek TV to the world. This was an unenviable situation. And if the the first clips from the upcoming fifth and final season — revealed during today’s Star Trek panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 — have anything to say, the series is going to boldly go out with a bang.

In the clip, a sequence of action with very little background, Captain Michael Burnham is seen being flung in a spaceship wreckage from one tense encounter to another, before she ends up piggybacking a ship as it enters warp.

Season 5 DiscoveryFilming began in June last year, and the premiere was expected to be early 2023. Paramount announced in March that this would be the last season and the premiere date would be moved to 2024. The crew is expected to be Sonequa, Doug Jones Anthony Rapp and David Ajala. DiscoveryFor adventures in the future, the 3200s (even for Star Trek).

According to the new video, David Cronenberg will also reprise his role as Doctor Kovich, an expert in the Federation.
