Square Enix delays Forspoken to 2023 on PS5, PC
Square Enix has delayed the release of its adventure role-playing video game Bespoken into 2023, the publisher announced Wednesday, calling the move a “strategic decision” that will give developer Luminous Productions more time to polish the game. BespokenIt was originally expected to be published in October.
“All game elements are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase,” Square Enix and Luminous Productions said in a tweetWe regret to announce the delay. “We would like to thank you for your continued support and patience on this journey. Every day, your excitement about the game is inspiring us. We can’t wait for you to learn more. Bespoken with you later this summer!”
It is also the second significant delay. Bespoken. The original launch date for the game was May 2011 on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. However, Square Enix decided to push the release to fall due to increased polishing.
Square Enix and Luminous Productions are revealed Bespoken2020 under the “Name” Project Athia. Frey is a young, average woman living in New York City. She’s sent to Athia by the game, where she discovers her magic abilities. Her mission: cleanse Athia of the Break and dispel the corrupted matriarchs who rule it, the Tantas, using what Square Enix describes as “magic parkour.”
