Splatoon 3’s new hosts, Deep Cut are a hit with Splatoon fans

Nintendo has introduced new hosts Splatoon 3.Deep Cut as part of a Nintendo Direct stream Wednesday. Fans are obsessed with three of the characters in the group: Frye and Shiver.

Every previous Splatoon has featured a host who provides news, information and maps. First SplatoonGame features Marie and Callie the Squid Sisters. Splatoon IIMarina and Pearl of Off the Hook host the show. Deep Cut will be hosting the newscast next week with an Anarchy Splatcast show. It has the feel of an underground podcast, run by hip leftist dirtbags. This show is perfect for Splatlands’ grittier urban life.

Alongside their reveal, Nintendo shared a new music video for the group’s first track, “Anarchy Rainbow.” The group all don masks and the streets are decorated up as if it were Carnival in the music video. It is breathtaking to see how the streets of New York come alive with music and lights.

Deep Cut, who was streaming the stream revealed that Splatfests (the name for competitive events in Splatoon) are back. Splatfests, this time, will look more carnival-like than a blockparty, as Big Man, Frye, Shiver and Shiver all wear masks. Nintendo is making a big deal about Carnival. Doki Doki Panic (aka Super Mario Bros. 2Yume Kojo (a carnival-inspired fair and street festival held in Tokyo and Osaka, 1987) inspired the design of ).

It’s a festive way to celebrate the group, and they really seem like they know how to party. The three members are already a favorite of fans, and they are sharing fan art and memes.

Splatoon 3.The game will release on Nintendo Switch in September.
